Gaiman has written multiple novels for children and for adults, as well comic books. Some of his best known books are Stardust, American Gods and Coraline. I particularly recommend The Graveyard Book.
HI CHERYL!!! I love your quotables… especially Neil Gaiman! But, I am going to break away from the others and admit that I didn’t particularly love American Gods. It was fine, but he’s written better. My favorite is Stardust.

Aww, Stardust is sweet. I thought the Babylon Candle was such a clever idea, playing off of the rhyme… “How many miles to Babylon, four score and ten, can we make it by candlelight, aye and back again.” And so–a candle that takes you places when you light it. Brilliant!

Though I wouldn’t recommend The Graveyard to first time Gaiman readers. Unless their kids. American Gods is number 1 imo. Maybe that’s personal preference though.

Valid point about Graveyard, it is more juvenile than some of his others. But I think it has a fair amount of cross-age appeal. Apparently the universe (or at least, commenters) is trying to tell me something about American Gods!
And when it comes to books, it’s ALL personal preference…and all valid! Well, maybe not ALL…but most.
I adore Neil Gaiman, and have been on a major kick lately. Read American Gods, and am now working my way through Sandman. The Graveyard book is wonderful!!
Thanks for reading! The Graveyard Book is probably my favorite of what I’ve read by Gaiman. I’ve been meaning to pick up American Gods, so I’ll have to try that one too…
